Are There Success Secrets?
"If There Are Secrets To Success Then
What Are They and Why Are They So Secret?"
What is so secret about
success that you have to pay to find out? What is really going on
and how is it being done? Learn some secrets if you are thinking
about buying a success program.
If you have been searching
for success secrets of any kind you may have had trouble finding exactly
what you want to know without paying for it.
Some of the websites that you
may have visited will present a very long and convincing sales page that
doesn't really explain what you want to know unless you order their
product.
But they can be very
convincing and sometimes make you reach for your credit card. You
can end up feeling that you MUST have what they're selling
immediately.
Why Do They Do This and Why Does it Work?
They do it because it works
better than other techniques and they can make money doing it. With
the right product and a great sales letter, usually many pages long, they
can make a lot of money. You need to understand this whether you are
buying or even considering selling anything over the Internet.
There is an obvious different
between the page you are reading now and one trying to sell you something.
This page is designed to provide information in a straightforward manner.
If it was a sales page it would look very different and you see examples
of these all the time.
This web page is attempting
to answer some of the questions you may have about success secrets.
It is appealing to your curiosity and desire to learn more information.
But a sales letter appeals to your emotions and what you need or want.
The product that they are selling may have the information that you seek,
but you still have to be convinced that you need it.
How Do They Convince You?
There is both an art and a
science to this and even some magic. A powerful sales letter
will make you feel that the writer understands your problem. It will
then explain how they felt the same way until they found the solution.
It will then talk about how
incredible the solution is and how you will benefit from it. If the
product was a car, it would stress how "it can stop on a dime and save
your life" instead of how the enhanced computer controlled Anti-Lock
Braking System (ABS) works.
You as a reader are
responding emotionally to the sales letter and while you are reading it,
probably asking what's in it for you. The writer knows this and will
do their best to explain those benefits more than its features.
Benefits sell and features are not nearly as important in getting the
sale.
This is not really a secret
but basic human psychology and sales marketing. Make the reader FEEL
you understand their problem. Then explain how you FELT the same
way. And then offer the BENEFITS of the solution.
You may also notice somewhere
on a sales page that it will tell that the offer is limited in some way
and you must ask quickly. This is again appealing to your emotions
and that you may lose the chance to get this amazing product if you don't
act fast.
Is This Wrong, Unfair or Unethical?
Some people believe that it
is and that you should just be given what you want to know. Others
argue that people are by nature slow to act and need convincing. The
oldest profession in the world is selling, not that "other one".
There is nothing wrong about
writing powerful sales letters that convince people to buy something.
In fact it may actually help you to get something that you truly needed.
Sometimes you need more than information to encourage you to make a
decision.
That's where salesmanship
comes into play. When you see a long sales letter, what is it
really? If you think about it for a moment you will understand that
it is nothing more than "salesmanship in print".
The sales letter takes the
place of that vacuum cleaner sales representative that used to come to
your door. Or that annoying car sales person when you went car
shopping. Or a telemarketer on the telephone. Or any of
countless others people involved in sales.
But that sales person can't
be there in front of you on a web page, at least not yet. That sales
letter has to be as effective as if they were standing right there talking
to you. This is why sales letters are designed to be very powerful.
The writer will pretend that they are speaking with you in person about
their product and why you should buy it.
Why Don't They Tell You Everything and Why Does it Cost Money?
They won't tell you everything about their program whether it involves a
general success method, making money on the Internet, getting into shape,
succeeding with Multi-Level Marketing programs or many others.
If you knew everything
about it before you spent any money or effort you may think that it isn't
the best thing for you and not purchase it. The secret is that they
are keeping it a secret until you buy it.
Also, if they gave you all
the information up front then they wouldn't make any money because there
would not be anything left to sell you. If it was completely free of
charge then you may think that it had no real value.
If you do pay money for it
then you are more likely to pursue the program, even if it isn't
completely what you
expected. That's when your sense of reason comes into play.
After you buy it and receive
it you study it thoroughly and hopefully use it. You paid good money
for it and want to think that it was well spent. You will find a way
to justify having paid for it, even if it isn't the best solution for you.
The bottom line is that they
are trying to make money from you while you are trying to learn as much
information about what they know without paying for it. There is a
comprise that you can strive for.
The compromise is that you
can learn many success secrets for free and the only cost will be your
time. If you need more information
you may have to pay for it but you don't have to spend a lot.
Sometimes a used book you can buy for under a dollar at a garage sale will
have what you want. Keep looking until you find what you want but
think before you buy.
Remember that it's always
your choice and if it wasn't, they wouldn't have to convince you would
they? Use your power of choice to choose wisely. Remember that
it is ...
always
your choice.
