How to Create
Affirmations
"Whatever You're Going to
Tell Yourself, Make Sure That You Do It the Right Way"
Affirmations can help you to
succeed. But you must design them in the right way to be effective.
Here's how to do it.
Affirmations, AFFIRMATIONS,
AFFIRMATIONS!!. Isn't that what you been told you need to
succeed? Create them and then recite them over and over again until
the message reaches your inner mind?
It's not quite that simple.
You need to know more about affirmations and how to write them so that
that they can trigger the change you seek. And there is a difference
between a bad affirmation and a great affirmation.
An affirmation is a statement
that you are making to yourself that describes the situation you want to
become real. It doesn't matter if you can't see or feel or touch it
right now.
Affirmations are not the same
as complaints, wants, needs or desires and need to be worded in the right
way or they won't have any effect on your success.
Affirmation Characteristics
Each affirmation that you
design must have the following characteristics.
-
It describes in detail WHAT
it is that you desire
-
It does not explain HOW you
will have your desire fulfilled
-
It is phrased in the present
as if you had it NOW
-
It contains no negative words
of any kind
-
It is worded as simply and as
clearly as possible
-
It includes a statement of
gratitude at the end
1 -
Describe WHAT You Desire
You must be able to describe
as best you can what it is that you desire whether it be with words,
pictures, sound, video or your imagination. This does NOT mean that
you have to list pages of details, one page or less is usually enough.
2 - Do
NOT Try To Explain HOW You Will Receive It
Even though it may matter to
you how you get what you want, you MUST let that go. If you ask for
something, isn't it more important that you get it instead of how?
Do not include any statements about HOW you should receive what you are
asking for.
3 -
Write Your Affirmation As If It Was ALREADY True
If you have a list of goals
that suggest "I want more money to pay my bills" or "I want a happy and
loving marriage" then rewrite them so that they are in the present.
Rewritten properly, these become: "I always have more than enough money to
pay my bills" or "I have a wonderful and loving marriage".
4 -
Keep Your Affirmation Statement Positive
Do not use any negative words
or phrases in you affirmation statement. Instead of "I don't have
any problems with my job", write "I am very happy with the job that I do".
Another example is replacing "I don't have any problems with money" with
"I always have money to do anything I want at anytime"
5 -
Simple Affirmations are Better
Your affirmation is a message
to yourself, so keep it simple . It's also easer to recite it to
yourself.
6 -
Include a Statement of Gratitude
You must give something if
you desire to receive something. This does NOT mean that you have to
invest money or time. You have only to give thanks and you can do
this by adding one more affirmation to your list. Here it is and
when you say it think or feel it also:
"I am grateful for all that I have and all that I
receive. Thank You. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!"
