Ignored Thoughts and
How They Interact With Beliefs
A Thought that You Ignore Will
Leave Your Beliefs Exactly the Same
If you ignore thoughts that
enter your mind without question your beliefs will not change. The
more you learn about this the easier it will be to understand why this
happens and how to change your beliefs.
There are three types of
interactions between your thoughts and beliefs. A thought can be
ignored and your belief remains unchanged.
A thought can also be accepted and can make
your belief stronger. A thought can also be contested or rejected
by you and this can make your belief smaller and less powerful.
A thought that is ignored
means that your directed
consciousness or "thought spotlight" quietly chose to disregard it.
It entered your mind but you did not accept it or contest it.
The
diagram below may help you to understand this more easily. Remember
that this is only a example and may not relate to your own thoughts or beliefs.

The top left of the diagram
shows an example of a thought that entered this person's mind that was
random. It may be have been based on intuition but that person chose
to ignore it. The thought was "I could easily become rich".
On the top right of the
diagram is a belief that this person already has about wealth.
Their belief has four ideas attached to it. "I am poor",
"I have no money", "Rich people are greedy" and
"I am not greedy".
The large circle in the
bottom left represents their conscious mind and within it how this thought
and that belief interacted. This person ignored that thought and
their belief remained the same.
The thought was ignored because they did not consciously attempt to
accept or reject it. It was just another thought they had that was
already in harmony with what they believed.
This person could have
identified with that thought and accepted it or embraced it. For
perhaps only a moment they decided that they already thought that way.
The thought had no affect on
their beliefs and did not change them in any way. If that person had
used their ability to either accept or contest that thought then their
belief could have been changed.
Thoughts and beliefs can control you or you
can learn how to understand and control them. It is
...
always
your choice
