Are You Left-Handed? You May Need to Change How You Listen to Subliminal Recordings

A small percentage of people are left-handed, somewhere between ten and fifteen percent of the population.  If you are one of them then the left and right halves of your brain may respond differently to subliminal messages.

About Your Brain

You actually have two separate brains or hemispheres that are connected together.  In most people that are right-handed, the left side or hemisphere may be better equipped at dealing with language, reasoning, planning and organization.

The right side is described as being more skilled with visual images, intuition and creative abilities involving art or music.  It is usually more interested in the whole rather than the individual parts.

But if you're left-handed then it may be different.  You may have some of those skills reversed.  Your language skills may be centered in the right half of your brain instead or even shared with your left brain.

There are no definite rules about this because each person is different but there are guidelines to help you decide which type you are.  A test that can help you find out is to take a piece of paper and write something down on it.

It's not important what you wrote but HOW you wrote it.  Assuming you're left-handed, did you write it with your hand straight or was it curved or hooked downwards?

If your hand was straight and not hooked then it may be that your verbal skills that includes listening and speaking are located in your right brain instead of your left.  This is important to know if you are using subliminal recordings to help you succeed.

Subliminal Messages and Left-Handedness

A high-quality subliminal recording can be either on an audio cassette tape, an audio CD or downloadable as an MP3 audio file.  These are almost always stereo recordings and have a left and a right channel which you listen to with either stereo headphones or through multi-channel speakers.

One channel is directed to your left brain and delivers messages offering positive affirmations such as "It is okay to succeed".  If your left brain is analytical and interprets messages literally then it will have no problems accepting this type of message.

The other channel is used to target your left brain that doesn't try to analyze.  These messages are like "I succeed at everything I do".  It can't argue with that message because it doesn't know how.

One side of your brain is targeted with messages to encourage you to accept success in a logical manner.  The other is the focus of messages to believe without questioning that you already have success.

But if you're left-handed and your language skills are reversed then the message may be delivered to the wrong side of your brain.  You need to reverse the channels so that left becomes right and that right becomes left.

Reversing Your Channels

If you listen through speakers then it may not make any difference because the sounds merge before you actually hear them.  But if you listen with headphones and are instructed to do this then you should reverse you left and right channels.

There are several ways to do this.  The simplest way is to switch your headphones around but this may not be comfortable.  They may have been designed to fit only one way.

Another way is to ask them for a reverse recording but they may not be able to supply you with one.  If you are left-handed then you are a minority, but it doesn't do any harm to ask anyways.

The next way is to reproduce the subliminal recording with the channels reversed but you should have high-quality recording equipment to do this.  Anything less and you may lose the subliminal tracks that are almost inaudible.

The last and probably the best way is to add a simple in-line channel reversing device between your playing device and your headphones.

These are difficult to find but you can make one or have it made for you.  All that is required is that you use the output line from your player and switch the left to the right and vice versa.

The signals are then delivered in the reverse so that if you are truly left-handed they will be more effective.
