Subliminal or
Supraliminal Messages - Does It Matter?
"They're the Same
Messages, Just Delivered In Different Ways"
Some success programs use
subliminal messages and others supraliminal messages. Subliminal
messages cannot normally be easily heard or seen. Supraliminal
messages can be readily seen and heard. Does it really make a
difference which one you use to help you succeed?
It helps to first understand
the similarities between them as well as their differences before you
decide which is better for you. If you want to learn more basic
information about subliminal and supraliminal messaging, read the article

Subliminal and Supraliminal Messaging
Similarities
The messages provided by both
types are always positive in nature and stated in the present tense.
They are worded so that your mind will accept them as being true now.
Examples of positive messages about success are "I am successful", "I am
powerful", "I say only positive things to myself about myself" or "I believe strongly in my
powerful positive self-esteem".
Both methods also use
multiple messages such as the examples above for success and they are
repeated often. Repetition is important because the more times you
receive them the more likely they are to have a positive effect on you.
Audio recordings are usually
how either subliminal or supraliminal messages are delivered. These
recordings can be on a cassette tape, an audio CD or as a downloadable MP3
file.
Supraliminal recordings
encourage you to enter a relaxed state before the messages are stated.
With some subliminal recordings it may be suggested that you do this but
with others you can listen to them while you are wide awake.
Relaxing is important to both
methods because it makes you more receptive to suggestion. The more
relaxed you are the easier it will be for the positive messages to enter
you subconscious mind and cause the changes that you desire.
Differences Between Subliminal and
Supraliminal Messages
Subliminal messages are
usually shorter than supraliminal messages because your subconscious mind
will accept them more easily. "I am successful" would be a
subliminal message and "I say only positive things to myself about myself"
a supraliminal message.
You must be relaxed in order
to get the full benefits of supraliminal messages but this is not always
needed with subliminal messages.
Subliminal messages are
designed to bypass your conscious mind so that you do not try and
contradict them. If you could hear the messages then your conscious
mind may decide that what it is hearing is impossible and reject them.
Supraliminal messages are
very clear and audible but if you are not in a relaxed state then your
conscious mind may reject them. This is why it is important to enter
a relaxed state before you begin to hear them.
You can listen to some
subliminal recordings while fully awake and even driving to work.
But they may strongly suggest that you be relaxed while listening.
Supraliminal messages almost always begin with a relaxation procedure
before the messages are delivered.
Which Is Better For You?
There is no simple answer
because it depends on what you are comfortable with. If you have the
time to relax then both subliminal and supraliminal messages can help you
to succeed.
If you want to have positive
messages delivered to you at any time then subliminal messages may be a
better choice for you. But listening while relaxing or sleeping may
be your preference and both types can do this.
You can choose either
subliminal or supraliminal messages or even use both types. They are
different but the important thing is that they deliver positive messages
about your success.
Isn't
that what you really want?
